This site is a touchbase for people trying to make contact with David, or his supporters.

Great cheer and celebrations.

On friday 5th June 2009 David was found not guilty of the murders of his family. After this epic struggle and the untiring efforts of Jo Karam and an amazing defence team David is finally free to look forward to a future, one that doesn't involve courts and the battle to clear his name.

We, Davids friends, and many supporters spead far and wide celebrate this hard fought victory.

We, would once again like to express our thanks and gratitude to the entire defence team for fighting so long and hard for our friend.

We would especially like to thank Joe Karam for his committment and perseverance.

Ruben Carter flew out to New Zealand in 2001 to support David's case.

"My first impression of David," said Carter, "was that here is a good looking young man, not yet filled with the anger and hostility that a prison setting usually gives you - and he has a big smile on his face."

The Friends of David Bain are a group of people from all walks of life who either knew David personally before the murders or have got involved because they are aware an injustice has occurred. Meetings are held in Dunedin, but we have over one thousand contacts all over the country, in all major cities and most towns.
